About the Course
What adult classes do we have?
We have 3 classes specifically for adult aged 18 years and over
Barre Fit is a full-body, ballet-based workout at the barre where you can work at your own level within a class of likeminded individuals.
Tap is a rhythm based genre using the shoes to tap out the rhythms as the student dances. Although it is a very technical genre, just like the younger groups, we use fun activities and dance to develop the required techniques
Aerial Aerial hoop and silks are fun and exciting forms of aerial dance and fitness. They involve performing moves and poses in the air using special equipment.
No experience is required for any of our adult classes as everything is adapted to suit; from complete beginner to advanced level.
What do we do in class...
Obviously this will vary slightly for each class but we always start with a warm up before moving on to the main section of the class.
In Barre Fit the majority of the class is taken using the barre for support, at the end of the class you have the option to stretch either on the floor or in the chair to suit.
In tap class, after our warm up we work on technical exercises and dances to perfect our moves. Students have the opportunity to take exams and perform if they wish and a lot of our adults have really enjoyed stepping out of their comfort zones in this way.
Our aerial classes follow the same structure as the children’s class; warm up, strengthening and skills, cool down. Instead of alternating, we choose either hoop or silk to work on for the duration of the course.
When do the classes run...
Our dance and fitness classes run during term time and are pay as you go.
Our aerial classes are run as short pre-booked courses (5/6 weeks) payable in advance.
